ABOUT THE REUNION

Celebrating Over 50 Years of Family, Legacy & Connection

For over 50 years, our family has come together annually to celebrate our shared history, strengthen our bonds, and build lasting connections across generations. What began as a simple gathering has grown into a meaningful tradition that continues to unite us year after year.

OUR TRADITION

Each year, a different family member or branch takes on the honor of hosting the reunion. While each host brings their own unique touch, the structure of our gathering has remained consistent over the years.

Our reunion is typically held in July and spans three days:

•    Welcome Night – An opportunity to reconnect, meet new family members, and set the tone for the weekend
•    Family Picnic Day – A day of food, games, laughter, and relaxed fellowship
•    Banquet Celebration – A formal gathering to reflect, celebrate, and honor our family legacy

This structure has become a cornerstone of our reunion and continues to bring balance between fun, connection, and tradition.

A LEGACY BUILT OVER GENERATIONS

Reaching over 50 years is a powerful reflection of our family’s commitment to staying connected. Through growth, change, and the addition of new generations, this reunion has remained a constant.

It represents consistency, unity, and the importance of maintaining relationships that extend beyond immediate households. More importantly, it reinforces the responsibility we all share in continuing this tradition for those who come after us.

THIS YEAR’S VISION

As this year’s host, my goal is to make this reunion meaningful for everyone in attendance.

I want each person to:

  • Learn something about our family they didn’t know

  • Meet someone within the family they have never connected with before

  • Experience and explore the city of Atlanta

This year is about going beyond familiarity, creating new connections, discovering our shared history, and building relationships that extend beyond this weekend.

Our reunion is supported by family members across multiple cities. Each host city contributes financially to help ensure the success and continuity of this long-standing tradition.

This shared responsibility allows us to maintain the quality of the reunion while reinforcing the collective commitment of our family.

Each city is represented by designated leaders who assist with coordination, communication, and contributions for the reunion.
